Jet2.com have been operating for over 30 years under their old name of Channel Express but re-branded in 2002 to trade under the Jet2 brand. They are one of the UK’s most well liked low cost airlines and have won many awards for their service. They will perhaps be better known by customers in the North of the country as this is where most of their flights operate.
The airline currently operate from 8 UK airports which include Leeds Bradford airport, Manchester and Blackpool and they serve over 50 destinations including some of our own personal city break favourites, Prague, Barcelona and Rome and our number one winter sunshine holiday destination Tenerife.
As the mega office is based in the South Midlands we have never had the opportunity to fly with Jet2.com although we do sell a lot of their flights and have yet to hear a bad word said about them. This is possibly why they have won so many travel awards for service and value for money over the years including the highly regarded Best low Cost Airline award from SPAA in 2011 and Top Low Cost Carrier by Wanderlust publication.
Unlike some other airlines in the budget sector they have a high baggage allowance of 22KG so you can take more clothes without worrying about surcharges, that is over 20% more than many allow. Another thing we really like to hear is that they are able to allocate your seats in the majority of cases you can sit together on the plane. This is very forward thinking and makes you wonder how other carriers get away with charging as much as £6 per person per flight for something that can obviously be handled for free!
